DESCRIPTION:The EU Business Hub invites EU companies active in the semiconductor industry to join the 5-day business mission\, come to Japan\, and exhibit\, as part of the EU pavilion\, at one of the major exhibitions SEMICON Japan held in Tokyo Big Sight. Aside from the exhibition\, there will be networking opportunities\, including a reception\, site visit\, and business matchmaking meetings. \nDate and location:\n9-13 December 2024 \nTokyo Big Sight\, Tokyo\, Japan (SEMICON Japan 2024 Website) \nTarget audience:\nWe are looking for EU-headquartered companies and startups active in the semiconductor industry and existing for 5+ years\, such as: \n\nCompanies selling components to semiconductor device manufacturers (companies manufacturing connectors\, pumps\, cables\, and other parts that are used for machines);\nCompanies selling sensors and electronic components used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment;\nSemiconductor manufacturing equipment manufacturers or inspection equipment manufacturers (without subsidiaries or distributors in Japan);\nCompanies that specialise in metal and machining such as metal processing\, metal cutting\, plating\, and surface treatment;\nUniversity-based startups\, electronics\, and computer software companies.\n\nServices/benefits the EU participants will be receiving:\n\nTailored business matchmaking via pre-arranged in-person meetings;\nMarket intelligence of the target market;\nCultural and linguistic support;\nFinancial support on customised services and hotel accommodation;\nExhibition fee will be covered by the project;\nMax. EUR 1\,000 will be covered by the project for 4 nights of stay from 9 December to 13 December 2024.\nCustomised services\, such as interpretation\, legal advice\, and booth decoration\, will be co-funded by the project (exact menu to be confirmed at a later stage).\n\nApplication period for EU companies:\nUntil 16 August\, 2024 via the website. \nEU Business\nThe EU Business Hub is a programme funded by the European Union in support of EU Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and startups within the green\, digital\, and healthcare sectors that seek business opportunities and establish partnerships in Japan and the Republic of Korea (RoK). \nThe EU Business Hub – Japan and the Republic of Korea aims to boost the presence and visibility of EU companies operating in the green\, digital\, and healthcare sectors where potential for increased cooperation between European and Japanese and European and Korean companies exists. \nThe programme aims to strengthen EU businesses’ internationalisation\, export and investment activities\, as well as foster more resilient\, sustainable\, and technologically advanced value chains with the two Asian markets. Thus\, significantly supporting the implementation of EU-RoK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). \nInformation\nFor more information\, Dutch companies can contact the Dutch Enterprise Europe Network contact point. \nBryan Raghoe \nbryan.raghoe@rvo.nl
